AF! DRAWING SKILLS CONTEST

THIS is a long and fair contest to improve your drawing skills and compare them with the rest of the fan art community. This allows you to improve through criticism and encouragement.

UPDATE: All the votes are casted and realdy to be announced soon in a later date.

Guideline for 2001 contest:

Your art MUST include the symbol above which is a star inside a circle. (hint: this symbol is called a pentacle I got it from a tarot card)
Your entry can be black and white (pencil, inked) CG or even 3D. The style of the art pretty much has to be anime featuring a person, animal whatever but it must have to have the pentacle symbol in it
Any questions about this contest please don't feel any hesitation to contact me.

the rules and conditions basically are

i) the fan art must be original that is the composition and pose etc, but the character can be a anime or manga character.
ii) the fan art can be in any form. However for the moment, the entries must be in the following categories: CG, watercolor, or pencil. Other forms like 3D are not judged. You may wish to enter all 3 categories if you like!
iii) the entries are to be on a single subject given a time of 2 month to draw the first collection date is between 1 JUNE 2001 to 31 AUGUST 2001. All entries are posted up on the 5th of September.
iv) The area's of judging: creativity, technique/skills and overall presentation. Marks are given by the 5 judges from 1 to 10. The average is calculated the the winner is determined
v) Beside the judges, the entries will also be voted by visitors during September & october by the look of it for the best entry.
vi) I'm deeply considering a form of prize that is good and usable, unfortunately my revenues are still not high enough to support a prize. Something small yes but big no. If anyone would like to help you can contact me too. Otherwise the best entry will be awarded with special merit of excellence award (recognized by many people) to put on your home page!!!!

By sending your entry to the Anime Fans! Drawing Skills Contest you give the right for me to host your picture on Anime Fans and that I'll be able to edit some to suit the site's design.

FAQ:

Q. How many entries can I send? like in different categories?

A: as many as you like in different categories there is no stopping you.

Q: With the pencil category, is it B&W or colour penciled? Does it have to be inked?

A: It has to be B&W, and inking preferred. ( you may wish to use screen tones.)

Q: Can i draw more than 1 person in the pic?

A: Of course you can as many as you wish!

Q: Does the art has to be fanart or can it be original?

A: It can be a fanart or original just as you like it, however the pic must feature THE pentacle symbol. As a hint, don't just copy and paste the above image on to your pic, but rather draw it onto it ^_^.
