MANGA MATERIALS Manga is the equivalent of comics but in Japanese terms. When drawing manga there are some special materials that are used by the professionals but I suppose if you are a novice you can just use the average art materials from your local art store. It would be more than enough for your purposes and cheaper as well. PAPER In Japan, manga artist use B4 sized paper which is about 26 by 36 cm long, with 18 by 27 cm inside (the total drawing space). Usually the paper weighs around 110 or 135 gsm (grams per square meter). These are the kinds hat are thicker and more absorbent than the normal photocopy paper. The manuscript paper is ALWAYS in light blue because that way when the original manga is photocopied and then printed the lines do not show up.
